Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The new CEO of Coca-Cola Ichimligi Uzbekistan Ltd (CCI Uzbekistan), Furkan Aydin, visited the Agency for State Asset Management of Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, it was noted that the sale of CCI Uzbekistan, part of the large Turkish company Anadolu Group and Coca-Cola İçecek in 2021, is one of the first successful examples of privatization in Uzbekistan.

It was also emphasized that the implementation of modern corporate and financial management systems in CCI Uzbekistan, the increase in production capacities and operational efficiency, as well as the launch of a new modern plant in Samarkand costing US$112 million, are positive outcomes of the privatization process.

Furkan Aydin highly praised the conditions created in Uzbekistan for foreign investors, the positive investment environment, and the transparency and openness of institutional reforms and privatization processes carried out in recent years.

Additionally, the ongoing privatization process of the SamAuto plant in collaboration with the Anadolu holding (Anadolu Isuzu) was highlighted. A memorandum of understanding was signed during the business forum "Uzbekistan-Turkey," held on June 6 in Ankara, between Anadolu Isuzu, the Agency for State Asset Management, and Uzavtosanoat JSC regarding the sale of a controlling stake in SamAuto.

Efforts to attract the Anadolu Medical team for the effective management of the new Republican Oncology Center, built using modern technologies in Tashkent, were also mentioned.

The parties expressed confidence in the positive outcomes of these strategic initiatives.
