From 28 to 30 November, the first visit of a group of 21 journalists from leading TV channels, news sites, newspapers and magazines of Turkey such as ATV, TRT, TRT WORLD, YENI BIRLIK, AKSAM, STAR, DUNYA, KANAL7 and DAILY SABAH took place in the media tour.
During three days, the guests visited the cities of Samarkand and Bukhara, visited the main sights, collected video-photo materials and information, and shot a number of reports for further publication in Turkey, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan said.
The State Committee for Tourism Development and Uzbekistan Airways organized a meeting in Samarqand Plaza Hotel in Samarkand with representatives of Turkish media, who arrived in our country, with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture and the Committee for Religious Affairs, leading tourism companies, hotel complexes Samarkand and Bukhara. Also, more than 30 representatives of local media attended the meeting.
Representatives of Turkish and local media, the chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Tourism Development Aziz Abdukhakimov presented the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, provided detailed explanations of the tourism reforms in the country, including changes in legislation and measures to create a favorable investment climate for local and foreign entrepreneurs , as well as the results and prospects of cooperation in tourism between Uzbekistan and Turkey.
Representatives of Uzbekistan Airways, the Ministry of Culture and the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan spoke about the activities carried out by these departments to support the development of tourism in Uzbekistan. Particular attention was focused on pilgrim tourism within the framework of the "Ziyorat Tourism" program on the holy places of Uzbekistan, the mausoleums of great imams, scholars and theologians and Sufis.
After the end of the presentations, representatives of the Turkish media received detailed answers and explanations on issues of interest to them from government representatives and the airline.
In addition, at the organized meeting, the guests were able to communicate with representatives of local media in a free format, to receive interviews from the responsible persons and exchange contacts for further cooperation.
