Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law that introduces amendments and additions to several legislative acts.

According to the new law, changes are being made to the Land Code and other laws that allow tenants to transfer their rights and obligations (subleasing) of rented agricultural land plots to third parties without altering the intended use of these plots.

Additionally, electronic online auctions will replace open electronic competitions for leasing agricultural land plots.

The law also stipulates that tenants are required to make payments to the State Budget when land plots are directly leased to individuals and legal entities undertaking large investment projects. These projects will be determined through the selection of the best proposals.
