Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On the portal of discussion of regulatory legal documents, the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On amendments and additions to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan in connection with improving the procedure for preventing violations and combating crime" is being discussed.

According to the document, it envisages strengthening of responsibility for the illegal manufacture, acquisition, storage and transfer of prohibited plants, narcotic drugs, their analogues or psychotropic substances for the purpose of transfer, as well as illegal manufacture, storage, storage without the purpose of transfer to other persons. 

In addition, recidivism is considered one of the most dangerous types of crimes, and taking into account the fact that persons with the status of particularly dangerous recidivists have a negative impact on the younger generation, it is prohibited by law to impose a punishment less than the minimum or the definition of another milder type of punishment provided for by the Criminal Code for particularly dangerous recidivists.

In particular, paragraph 4 was added to article 57 of the Criminal Code, providing that the provisions of the article will not apply to particularly dangerous repeat offenders. In addition, a number of articles have been amended and supplemented, which are interpreted in the new edition.
