Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a law amending the Law on "Employment of the Population."

The amendments aim to simplify the paperwork for job seekers when dealing with labor authorities, to prevent the excessive submission of documents.

Additionally, the mechanism for providing subsidies aimed at stimulating employment and encouraging citizens to engage in entrepreneurial activities has been improved.

The amendments also establish conditions for employers to submit information about job vacancies and upcoming layoffs in electronic format to local labor authorities on a monthly basis.

The law also clarifies the names of the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, as well as the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

Furthermore, individuals affected by domestic violence are now included in the category of socially vulnerable populations.
