The document was adopted to ensure timely execution of liabilities on loan of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) within the project “Water supply and sanitary of Surkhandarya region”.

The resolution said that the ADB allocated 19.36 million of special drawing rights to the project. The loan was issued to 32 years, including eight-year grace period.

Within investment period from 2009 to the first quarter of 2014, the interest payments on loan were covered due to loan itself. The expenses, related with repayment of loan and its interest rates after investment period (starting from the second quarter of 2014), will be covered due to resources of Suvoqava of Surkhandarya region and the state budget of Uzbekistan, the resolution said.

Feasibility study of the project “Water supply and sanitary of Surkhandarya region” determines share of coverage of expenses on payment of the debt and interests on loans of the ADB due to the state budget and resources of Suvoqava of Surkhandarya region.

The Government of Uzbekistan entrusted Ministry of Finance of Uzbekistan to allocate funds from the state budget to service loan of the ADB.

The Government entrusted Uzkommunhizmat,Surkhandarya regional administration and Suvoqava of Surkhandarya region to adhere with the feasibility study of the project and improve efficiency of Suvoqava of Surkhandarya region and reveal unregistered water consumer, introducing automated billing system, decrease water loss and improve collection of funds for supplied water, collect debts, etc.

They also should ensure timely service of the ADB loan in line with the schedule and pay interest rates on the loan.
