Maxam-Chirchiq modernizes its capacities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Open joint stock company Maxam-Chirchiq is implementing projects on modernization and reconstruction of its capacities.

UzA news agency reported that the company modernized equipment at shops, producing ammonia and carbamide. Automatic system on production management has been set at carbamide production shop.

After completion of these works, annual production capacities of the shops grew from 235,000 tonnes to 270,000 tonnes. Exports of carbamide rose from 110,000 to 170,000 tonnes.

The company also modernized electricity supply system and installed energy saving equipment. Equipment at steam shop were updated.

Maxam-Chirchiq also constructed a shop on production of porous ammonium nitrate in order to implement governmental resolution from 2010. The shop’s capacity is 60,000 tonnes of products a year, of which 55,000 will be exported.

Maxam-Chirchiq, which produces over 40 types of chemical products, produced 3.022 million tonnes of products in 2012. The volume of produced localized products hit 15.7 billion soums and exports – 261,000 tonnes.

The company is planning to implement a project on increasing the volume of production of chemical products through modernization and reconstruction of equipment on raw materials’ output in 2013. At the same time, it is planning to update facilities on production of ammonia, economizers, filters, etc. It will save gas consumption in ammonia production. Besides, the volume of sulfur will grow by 25,000 tonnes a year.
