Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Opening of the exhibition of photo works of the Uzbek photographer Max Penson was held on 4 October 2012, which is organized within the Tashkent International Photo Biennale.

The event was held within the Art Week Style.uz-2012. The organizers noted that London-based Gilbert Collection, Galeev Gallery of Moscow, China Millennium memorial (Beijing), Moscow Photography House, Louvre (Paris) and others earlier expressed interest to host the exhibition of Max Penson.

Works of Max Penson were exhibited in Russia, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Ukraine, China, Japan and Mongolia. New York hosted his personal exhibition in 2012.

Max Penson had worked at Pravda Vostoka newspaper from 1926. His first exhibition was held in Paris in 1934.

Dina Hodjaeva-Penson, daughter of Max Penson and photograph, said that her father did not work for popularity and he never thought that his photos will attract such attention. She said she was delighted to see 54 works of her father in Tashkent photo biennale.
