RST.ua, a website on car sales, published a rating of the most demanded A-class cars in Ukraine in 2012. The rating was based on price of cars and number of sold vehicles in 2012.

Matiz, which is produced in Uzbekistan, topped the rating. Some 2,800 Matiz cars were sold I Ukraine in 2012, which almost three times more compared to its competators. Overall, Uzbek carmaker old cars and additional equipment for US$20 million in 2012, the website said.

Hyundai i10 of South Korea claimed the second place, while Peugeot 107 finished the third in the rating.

Chery QQ (China) and KIA Picanto (South Korea) were fourth and fifth in the rating respectively.

Sixth and seventh places were shared by Citroen C1 and Fiat 500. Suzuki Splash of Japan was on the eight place.

China’s Geely LC and BYD F0 were ninth and tenth in the rating of the bestsellers in 2012 in Ukraine.
