Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Within the framework of cooperation between Mastercard and the Tourism Committee under the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a workshop on developing innovations in tourism was held. This was the first event after Uzbekistan joined the Mastercard Center for Tourism Innovation in October 2023.
At the workshop, participants exchanged experience and best practices on using digital solutions to increase the competitiveness and attractiveness of the tourism sector of Uzbekistan.
The president of Mastercard for the CIS and Eastern Europe region, Yasemin Bedir, stressed that the company is a reliable partner of Uzbekistan in achieving its strategic goals in the field of tourism. He also expressed his confidence that Uzbekistan will be able to attract 9 million tourists by 2025, offering them a unique culture, history and hospitality, as well as modern and safe digital services.
