Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 26 to 28 February at the Design Biennale in Doha (Qatar), the Art and Culture Development Foundation of Uzbekistan held a series of master classes at which traditional Uzbek crafts were presented.

Participants had the opportunity to communicate with three master craftsmen from Uzbekistan, each of whom specializes in a specific area of cultural heritage.

Sirodjiddin Rakhmatillaev, a master of wood carving, conducted a master class on carving. The workshop was an educational experience, showcasing the meticulous craft of carving.

Participants were immersed in the complex art of wool rug knitting under the guidance of master Gulnora Chorieva. This master class not only introduced the basics of easel weaving, but also offered practical experience in creating carpets, combining Arabic and Uzbek patterns.

Craftsman Vladimir Akhatbekov introduced the participants to the unique craft of fabric printing. The workshop presented a special collection of seals, teaching the art of making seals and applying intricate patterns and designs on fabric.

The master classes successfully demonstrated the rich cultural heritage of Uzbekistan to the international public.
