Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2024, Uzbekistan recorded 271,776 marriages, according to data from the Statistics Agency. Analyzing the age distribution of women entering marriage reveals notable trends.

The majority of marriages—53.9%—were registered among women aged 20 to 30. The second-largest group consisted of women under 20, accounting for 37.7% of all marriages.

This indicates that for a significant number of women in Uzbekistan, marriage remains an important milestone at an early age.

The share of marriages among women over 30 is considerably lower: only 6.5% of registered marriages involved women aged 31 to 40, while just 1.9% were recorded among women aged 41 and older.

These statistics suggest that most women prefer to marry before the age of 30, which may also be influenced by traditional views on family life in the country.
