Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to provide uninterrupted service to guests and avoid unnecessary expenses for the maintenance of the accommodation facilities, it is recommended that the accommodation facility managers, by agreement with the guests, move them to the “on-duty” hotel. This was reported by GUP "Center for certification of tourist services."
Based on the suggestions of industry experts and with the consent of the owners of accommodation facilities, 25 “on-duty” hotels in the country were determined.
As you know, the situation with the COVID - 19 pandemic negatively affected the country’s tourism sector, in particular the hotel sector, which is the locomotive of the tourism industry.
During the quarantine period introduced in the republic, many accommodation facilities temporarily suspended their activities, but some of them, with the presence of small guests who are currently unable to leave the country or region, continue their activities.
By the decision of the special commission of the Republic of Uzbekistan it was established that from 30 March to 20 April 2020, movement between regions, the cities of Tashkent and Nukus and regional centers in vehicles is carried out on the basis of special permits issued by the centers of public services.
In connection with this restriction, problems arose regarding the nutrition of guests living in accommodation facilities and the organization of necessary services, visits to workplace personnel. And also, in some cases, the provision of services to small guests of accommodation facilities shows that the costs of their maintenance are not covered.
On this basis, in order to ensure uninterrupted service to guests and avoid excess costs for the maintenance of the accommodation facility, it is recommended that the managers of the accommodation facility, by agreement with the guests, take measures to transfer them to the “on-duty” hotel.
