Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 26 December, the Bektemir District Court issued a ruling in the case of Gayrat Dustov, who became the focus of public attention following an incident at a gas station.
A video widely circulated on social media captured Dustov emotionally criticizing gas station staff while displaying his worn-out shoes, sparking significant reaction among users. For his actions at the gas station, Dustov was sentenced to 15 days of administrative detention.
The incident occurred at the Morotrans LLC gas station. According to Dustov, he had spent the entire night waiting in line to refuel. However, when the station suddenly closed, he lost his composure and expressed his frustration.
During the court hearing, Dustov admitted his guilt, but the severity of the punishment has provoked public debate, becoming a widely discussed topic on social media.
