Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man was detained in Chilanzar district of Tashkent for making counterfeit money. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.
A resident of the capital printed banknotes with a face value of 200,000 soums. He was selling counterfeit banknotes for 60,000 soums.
According to law enforcement officers, the man made 31 banknotes. A color printer and other means for producing counterfeit money were confiscated from him.
A criminal case has been initiated under article 176 (Manufacture of counterfeit money). Investigations are underway.
