Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A man brought to the Rishan police department in Ferghana region lost consciousness.
According to the press service of the Ferghana regional police department, the incident occurred on 4 July in the "Gumbaz" mahalla of Rishan district.
Citizen R. M., while driving a Chevrolet Cobalt on the opposite lane, attempted to park in a zone where a "No Stopping" sign is in effect.
Law enforcement officers tried to explain to the driver that he was violating traffic rules. R. M. insulted the officers and attempted to run over the civilians and police officers present.
The officers detained the citizen and took him to the police department.
At the police station, R. M.’s brother, M. R., approached and started shouting, resisting the officers.
At this moment, R. M. lost consciousness due to an epileptic seizure. It was found that he suffers from epilepsy as a result of a car accident.
The man was given first aid and then sent home.
Currently, administrative protocols have been drawn up against citizen R. M. and his brother M. R. under articles 183 (Petty Hooliganism), 194 (Failure to Comply with the Lawful Demands of a Police Officer), and 195 (Obstruction of the Performance of Official Duties by Police Officers) of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The relevant documents have been submitted to the court.
An internal investigation has also been initiated regarding the actions of the law enforcement officers.
