Local media education gazeta.uz reported quoting Nilsson that the venture produced 100 tucks of TGA modification from September 2009 till today. TGA trucks are leading on sales volume in the CIS and the world, he said.
Nilsson said MAN Auto-Uzbekistan is planning to assembly 700 trucks in 2010, 800 in 2011 and 1,000 trucks in 2012.
He said MAN Auto-Uzbekistan is planning to launch assembly of CLE trucks, which are currently produced in India. Uzbekistan will be the first producer of this medication of trucks in the CIS.
The report said earlier the German company will use the Uzbek capacities to export trucks to the CIS states and Afghanistan. The growth of the capacity is related with this purpose.
In 2009, MAN Nutzfahrzeuge AG and Uzavtosanoat created MAN Auto-Uzbekistan JV on assembly of trucks and other equipment in Samarkand. The charter capital of the venture is 3 million euros. Uzavtosanoat holds 51% stake in the venture, and MAN Nutzfahrzeuge – 49%.
