Malaysian Women Entrepreneurs Show Interest in Uzbekistan's Economy
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of the 4th Tashkent International Investment Forum, an official meeting was held at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the International Women Entrepreneurs Association of Malaysia (IWEM).
The meeting was attended by Nodira Shotursunova, Deputy Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, IWEM President Norazizah Borhan, and members of the Malaysian delegation — women entrepreneurs active in the fields of cosmetology, floristry, and banking.
During the talks, the participants held in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation between women entrepreneurs of the two countries, sharing experiences, implementing joint projects, and expanding into new markets.
Both sides agreed to organize B2B meetings between women entrepreneurs from Uzbekistan and Malaysia. An initiative was also proposed to sign a memorandum of cooperation in order to institutionalize the partnership.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Norazizah Borhan expressed strong interest in investing in the cosmetology and floristry sectors in Uzbekistan. In addition, the Uzbek side was invited to participate in a major international exhibition scheduled for October this year in Malaysia, with an opportunity to showcase national products.
