Uzbekistan Today reported that the delegation of the Malaysian university, which is leading institute on training tourism specialists, paid visit to Uzbekistan on invitation of Uzbektourism national company.
During the visit, the delegation discussed issues on rendering technical assistance in training specialists for tourism sector, improving skills of specialists in this area, as well as opening branch of Taylor’s University in Uzbekistan.
The Malaysian delegation also held negotiations with the branch of Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent, Tashkent State Economy University, Samarkand Economy and Service Institutes, as well as other educational establishments to familiarize with the educational process in Uzbekistan.
It is worth to mention that national tourism administrations of Uzbekistan and Malaysia discussed issues of developing cooperation of the university with the educational establishments of Uzbekistan.
Vice-President of the Taylor’s University Charles Chew said that the university is interested in opening its branch in Tashkent as Uzbekistan, located in middle of Asia and Europe, as well as in heart of the Great Silk Road, has significant potential for tourism development.
