Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A popular magazine of Malaysia – OIC Today published a detailed article about the opening of the Imam Bukhari Research Center and the Hadith School in Samarkand.

It notes that they were created on the initiative of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, voiced by him in October 2016 during the 43rd session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the OIC in Tashkent.

It was reported that these institutions will study the scientific and spiritual heritage of Imam Bukhari and other scientists and thinkers, publish scientific translations and interpretations of the works created by them, collect electronic copies of manuscripts stored in libraries, archival funds of the country and abroad, bring them to the Uzbek public and the global community.

It was noted that Imam Bukhari is especially revered among the Muslim Ummah of Malaysia and Indonesia, due to his contribution to the development of the science of Hadiology is invaluable.

OIC Today also introduced its readers to an important event - the first International Forum on Ziyorat Tourism, which took place in Bukhara from 21-23 February.

It was reported that the purpose of the meeting was the expansion of international cooperation in the development of Ziyorat tourism, attracting direct investment in this area, recognition of Uzbekistan as one of the largest centers of pilgrim tourism in the world and introduction of world standards Halal.
