Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As part of a working trip of a delegation from the Bukhara region to Malaysia, a meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan and Uzbekistan Airports and Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (IAH).

During the negotiations, issues of cooperation on the development of the airport services market in Uzbekistan with the possible introduction of the Malaysian experience were discussed.

The First Deputy Chairman of the Board of Uzbekistan Airports, Javlon Umarkhodjaev, presented the development strategy for airports in Uzbekistan and spoke about the mechanisms for attracting a private partner to modernize and transfer Bukhara International Airport to management on the basis of PPP.

Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to conduct additional negotiations with the organization of the visit of the Malaysian company to Uzbekistan and the provision of detailed information and a concept for the development of Bukhara Airport.
