Malaysia will face Uzbekistan in Tashkent on 14 November and in Kuala Lumpur on 18 November.
Malaysia, after their 5-0 defeat to the United Arab Emirates in January, will need a favourable result in both encounters in hope of qualifying for the 2011 Asian Cup.
Malaysia have never beaten Uzbekistan in ’A’ class international matches. In their last meeting, Uzbekistan won 5-0 in the 2007 Asian Cup finals.
Rajagobal said only a few seniors will be selected as the majority of the Asian Cup squad will come from the Under-23 side.
"Uzbekistan are a very good team and they are in the same class of Japan and South Korea. It is only logical that I name a few seniors for this match. It is a tentative plan and I will make my final decision soon," said Rajagobal.
"It takes years to build a solid national side. Even big clubs like Manchester United and Leeds took years to build their players before they won the league title. I am confident that if I am given the time, my Under-23 boys will make a name in three years," he added.
