Over 31,059 legal entities out of 272,465 total registered enterprises in Uzbekistan work in industry sector. Uzbek State Statistics Committee said 99.5% enterprises represented non-governmental sector (55.8% - private sector).

Share of non-governmental sector in construction industry was 97% (53.1% - private sector, 98.2% - agriculture and forestry industry, 96.2% in transport and communication, and 95.4% in other production industries (41.2%).

In trade and catering, share of non-governmental sector comprised 99.8% and non-production type of personal services - 99%.

In healthcare, physical culture, sport and social welfare, number of state enterprises were more than non-governmental ones (54.2% versus 45.8%). Similar situation is observed in education, culture, science and scientific services, the state enterprises accounted 83.2%.
