Mahalla “Dilbog” gets a new look

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the “Dilbog” mahalla in Yashnabad district of the capital and familiarized himself with the living conditions of the residents.

The mahalla is home to over 5,200 people. The area adjacent to 26 apartment buildings, schools, kindergartens, and trade points has been improved and landscaped.

In our country, each mahalla develops based on its specialization. The residents of "Dilbog" are mainly engaged in entrepreneurship and craftsmanship, constantly working in 15 trading and service points, one production enterprise, and educational institutions.

Last year, loans were allocated for 13 projects to encourage entrepreneurship among the population. Nearly 300 people were employed. A monocenter was organized to teach young people various professions.

The head of state inspected the construction and landscaping work in the mahalla.

In the same mahalla, there is the Tashkent City Football Academy under Uzbekistan Football Association. The modern complex includes indoor and outdoor sports grounds, classrooms for theoretical training, dormitories, a dining hall, and a library. Currently, 154 juniors aged 12 to 18 are being trained here. Foreign specialists are invited for training sessions. The stadiums are equipped with lighting and video recording systems.

The President spoke with the academy’s students and sports officials.

"Thanks to our decisions regarding football and our attention to talented children, Uzbek football is starting to reach the global level. The number of our players in European teams is growing. Our young athletes have qualified for the Olympics. To continue this progress, we need to develop football in mahallas. We must build additional stadiums and support the mass participation in this sport," said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The President also reviewed the renovation work on the Palace of Water Sports in the mahalla. He gave instructions for its sustainable use based on public-private partnership.
