Lukoil starts to develop Kandym field
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Lukoil, Russian oil company, started to development of Kandym field in Uzbekistan, the Russian company’s operator in Uzbekistan – Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company LLC – said.

The company said the drilling of the first exploitation vertical well with 2,150 m depth was completed to receive information on components of gas. This is necessary for designing gas processing plant.

The company plans to build 40 exploitation wells within gas field construction, which allow to extract gas at planned volumes. Eriell Corporation s . r. o. of the Czech Republic is contractor.

Lukoil plans to construct gas-chemical complex by 2010 within construction of Kandym fields’ group in southern-western Uzbekistan.

In line with the preliminary feasibility study, the complex will process 8 billion cubic meters of natural gas and produce 6.5 million tonnes of cleaned tank gas, 213,600 tonnes of stable condensate and 17,500 tonnes of liquefied gas and 191,100 tonnes of brimstone.
