Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new low-cost airline HUMO Air begins operating in Uzbekistan. The airline plans to launch soon regular daily flights to Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Nukus, Urgench and Termez.

According to the airline’s press service, the Swiss investment company Valleyroad Capital has become HUMO Air’s main strategic partner.

HUMO Air plans to receive three Airbus aircraft by the end of the year. By the beginning of 2024, the airline will operate four Airbus 320/321 aircraft. The low-cost airline plans to increase the number of aircraft to 18 by the end of 2025.

During the first quarter of operation, the carrier plans to operate more than 1,000 flights and serve more than 200,000 passengers.

HUMO Air strives to develop domestic tourism in Uzbekistan. HUMO Air launches regular daily flights to the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Karshi, Nukus, Urgench and Termez. The cost of tickets to destinations within Uzbekistan will start from 155,000 soums.

Next year, the airline plans to launch regular flights to international destinations: Almaty, Istanbul and Dubai.

Humo Air was created on the basis of the property of the state unitary enterprise (SUE) “Airline of Special Aviation Works” in 2020. 43 An-2 aircraft, aircraft engines, flight simulators and other property were transferred to the authorized capital of Humo Air.
