The course is organized by Fund Forum, Art Week Style.uz, London College of Fashion, Osiyo Ramzi Association at the support of British Council and design studio of Uzbeklegprom state joint stock company.
The course was attended by 20 young designers, who participated in youth fashion show Underground, National Costumes Festival and General Defile.
Representative of London College of Fashion Lipi Begum conducted the course for young designers, who received knowledge and advises on fashion management, marketing and business in fashion sector.
It was underlined that Uzbekistan should focus on national textile, ornaments, decorations, national styles, colors and fashion to develop Uzbek fashion brands. It was added that designers can be also inspired from culture, art, architecture and nature.
It was stated that high competition in fashion market creates problems for new brands in industry and participation of young designers in larger event such as Art Week Style.uz can be useful. Designers can promote their products via video and images at internet.
Representative of London College of Fashion Lipi Begum said that the college considers Style.uz as important event in fashion world and wants to continue cooperation with Uzbekistan in fashion and design sector. Lipi Begum said that Art Week Style.uz opens new names in fashion industry and promote brand “Made in Uzbekistan”.
At the end of the course, all participants received certificates from the London College of Fashion.
