Heads of large Portuguese enterprises such as EDP, GALP ENERGIA, Enoforum, Transitex, Grapo Azevedos, representatives of Ministry of Economy and Innovation, Association of Industrialists, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Portugal participated at the presentation.
The report said the event became important step in further development of economic and investment relations between Uzbekistan and Portugal. Portuguese officials noted at the event that the Portuguese businesses are ready to boost cooperation with the Uzbek companies and realize concrete joint projects.
The Uzbek delegation informed the Portuguese side on social-economic development of Uzbekistan, reforms in economy, measures of the Government of Uzbekistan to improve investment climate. Participants also received information of Navoi free industrial-economic zone, natural resources of Uzbekistan, etc.
On the results of the event, Uzinfoinvest Agency and the Agency for Investment and External Trade of Portugal signed the memorandum of understanding. Uzinfoinvest Agency also inked memorandum with Association of Industrialists. Uzbekneftegaz and Partex Services Corporation also signed memorandum of understanding.
