The Agreement between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan on Uzbek-Tajik state border was signed in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on 5 October 2002.
MPs said at the session that the ratification of the agreement, signed on initiative of Uzbekistan, will speed up legal formation of state borders between two states, ensure its security, further deepening cooperation with neighbouring countries.
Length of the Uzbek-Tajik border is 1,161 kilometers. Over 80% of borders pass over hard-to-rich highlands.
