The document is directed at improving order of the use of the state symbols and stipulates to introduce changes and amendments to the law “On the State Flag of Uzbekistan”, law “On the state emblem of Uzbekistan”, law “On the state anthem of Uzbekistan” and Code of Uzbekistan on Administrative Responsibility.

MPs underlined that it is necessary clear regulation of flag raising, placement of emblem at buildings, halls, offices, public places, documents, stamps and letterheads of the state bodies, use of anthem during various solemn events. MPs also approved introduction of administrative responsibility for violation of laws on state symbols.

Legislative Chamber approved a concept of this draft law and passed in the first reading.
