MPs considered a draft law “On limiting distribution and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products”.

The document sets legal norms, regulating production and realization, as well as import of alcohol and tobacco products, containing harmful substances for life and health in volume, exceeding set norms.

The draft law was passed by the Legislative Chamber and it will be directed to Senate of Oliy Majlis for approval.

MPs also discussed draft laws “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts in Uzbekistan in connection with adoption of Law “On limiting distribution and consumption of alcohol and tobacco products” and “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts in Uzbekistan” and other documents, which were approved in the first reading.

During the consideration of all draft laws, members of all parties and Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan expressed their opinion on the documents.

The discussions were held in atmosphere of competition and the constructive proposals were directed to improving draft laws.
