MPs of Legislative Chamber, representatives of Cabinet of Ministers, Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Healthcare, Ministry of Finance, Pension Fund, NGOs and others participated at the seminar.

Chairperson of the Committee on labour and social issues of the Legislative Chamber Fahriddin Radjabov said that within the execution of the Law “On state pension provision of citizens”, several legal documents, directed at social protection and support of vulnerable layers of population, were adopted to ensure integrity of pension provision and its social orientation.

In particular, from 1 January 2012 some changes were introduced to pension legislation, which are directed at strengthening dependence of pension size from contribution of citizen in formation of resources of Pension Fund. The changes also optimized rights for pension provision of some category of persons, etc. In order to ensure social justice, the minimal limit to work experience for pension assignment was set.

At the seminar, participants expressed their opinion on raising awareness of population on changes directed at improving legislation of pension provision of citizens, UzA reported.

The committee adopted corresponding recommendations on the considered issues.
