Legislative Chamber considers several draft laws
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan held a session on 12 July 2012, the information service of the lower house of parliament of Uzbekistan said.

MPs started the session with discussion of the draft law “On introduction of changes to the law “On execution of judicial acts and acts of other bodies” in connection with adoption of the law “On realtor activity”.

The document is directed at harmonizing legislative acts with the law “On realtor activity”. The draft law sets order on realization of arrested property and organization of auctions. In line with the document, the vehicles will be traded at open auctions of specialized trade organizations and real estates will be realized through realtor organization. The law was passed.

MPs also considered a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with further reforming judicial-legal system”, which was developed to implement the concept on further deepening democratic reforms and forming civil society in the country, effective protection of human rights and freedoms.

The document introduces changes to law “On prosecutors”, law “On courts”, Criminal-Procedural Code, Civil Procedural Code, Economic Procedural Code of Uzbekistan. It envisages judicial order of use of procedural constraints such as firing from the post, placement of person to medical establishment. It also abolishes right of court to open criminal case, etc. The law was passed.

MPs also passed the law “On introduction of changes and amendments to Code of Uzbekistan on administrative responsibility and Tax Code of Uzbekistan”, which is directed at improving norms on reasonability of persons for violation of rules on registration in residence area and regulates activities of fire service.

Parliamentarians also discussed and passed the draft law “On introduction of changes to Criminal Code of Uzbekistan and Code of administrative responsibility in connection with introduction of responsibility for illegal interference to activities of economic entities”.

The document introduces responsibility for initialization and organization of inspections of businesses, suspension of their activities, their banking accounts, request of information on the sum of money in their accounts.

MPs discussed a draft law “On introduction of changes to Code of administrative responsibility” and a draft law “On introduction of changes and amendments to some legislative acts of Uzbekistan in connection with adoption of the law “On competition”. MPs approved these draft laws in the first reading.

They also considered other issues of their jurisdiction at the session.
