Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Legislative Chamber has approved the law "On the Ratification of International Labour Organization Convention No. 132 on Paid Leave (Geneva, on 24 June 1970)" in three readings.
The main goal of this convention is to guarantee all workers annual paid leave, provided within the year, with exemption from work duties and the preservation of their job position and average monthly salary for rest and recovery.
Currently, the convention has been ratified by 38 countries. The aims and objectives of the project include protecting workers' labor rights in the country, including rights to rest and the use of paid leave.
Ratifying this convention will contribute to the further improvement of national legislation and the effective implementation of international labor standards established by the International Labour Organization, including rights to rest and the use of paid leave.
