Leather and Footwear Marketing: How should brands use it?

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Uzcharmsanoat association with Mehdi Mahbub, founder of Best Sourcung (Republic of Bangladesh). During the meeting, the issue of organizing marketing work in the leather, footwear and fur enterprises of our country was discussed using the experience of Bangladesh.

It should be noted that today marketing plays an important role in finding partners, expanding the geography of exports, actively attracting investments in the leather and footwear industry, as well as in all other industries.

The experience of Bangladesh shows that thanks to effective marketing, today the volume of exports of leather and footwear products produced in this country exceeds US$1 billion. Bangladesh hosts the production facilities of such world-famous brands as Nike, Puma, Сalvin Klein, Wrangler, H&M, Target, Zara.

During the meeting, issues of further increasing marketing activity in the leather and footwear industry of our country, the application of marketing processes used by Bangladeshi enterprises to study and analyze foreign markets, and the development of buyer programs were discussed. In this regard, close cooperation with Best Sourcung is planned.

It should be noted that at present in Bangladesh there is a shortage of semi-finished products and finished raw hides for the production of shoes and leather goods. The meeting also discussed the issue of exporting "Wet Blue", "Krust", "Finish" leather, produced by our local enterprises to this country.

In order to develop mutually beneficial cooperation, initiatives were also put forward to organize business tours for delegations of entrepreneurs from the two countries. As a result, Uzbek enterprises will get acquainted with the possibilities of production and marketing in Bangladesh, and investors and buyers from Bangladesh will consider the possibility of purchasing finished leather and footwear products from Uzbekistan.

Practical proposals were also developed to expand the production of components and chemicals necessary for production in Uzbekistan itself.
