Leasing deals for 252 bn soums were signed in 1H 2012
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Some 2,500 agreements with total sum of over 252 billion soums were signed in leasing market of Uzbekistan in the first half of 2012, the director-general of Uzbekistan Lessors Association Zafar Mustafaev said.
Aggregate leasing operations portfolio made up 1,373 trillion soums in the reporting period and compared to the same period of 2011 it grew by over 12%, he said.
Agriculture equipment leads among objects, handed over to leasing. Its share made up 35.5% in the reporting period.
Technological equipment is on the second place with the share of 31.9%, automobiles – 23.4% and real estate – 9.2%.
Tashkent (21.3%), Tashkent region (13.4%) and Kashkadarya region (9.1%) were leading on number of signed leasing agreement by the regions.
Currently, there are 87 lessors in Uzbekistan, of which 23 banks, 43 leasing companies and 18 other organizations.
