Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The authorities of Uzbekistan are in talks with the Chinese company Leapmotor, whose vehicle certification was recently suspended. This was reported by the Technical Regulation Supervision Inspection.

Engineers from Leapmotor will visit Uzbekistan in the coming days to address issues related to the certification restrictions on its products. During the visit, they will participate in re-testing the vehicles.

"Test trials will be conducted with the participation of Leapmotor specialists," stated the inspection's announcement.

Uzbekistan's Technical Regulation Supervision Inspection temporarily suspended the acceptance of certification applications for passenger vehicles from the Chinese brand Leapmotor.

On March 28, the company Euro Prof Test sent a notification to the Agency for Technical Regulation about issues identified during the testing of the Leapmotor C16 vehicle. A discrepancy was found regarding the level of broadband electromagnetic interference.

The violations were detected in one vehicle (its VIN number was specified in the letter). The agency recommended suspending the acceptance of certification applications for all Leapmotor vehicles until the issue is resolved, citing that electromagnetic interference could lead to malfunctioning of systems.
