Leading Malaysian TV channel shows programme about Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia is actively working to broadly promote Ziyorat (pilgrimage) tourism in our country among the public of Malaysia.

In particular, a separate story about Uzbekistan was aired within the framework of the morning program Assalamualaikum on the leading state TV channel “TV Alhijrah” of Malaysia. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia.

The main goal of the channel is promotion and development of Islamic culture and values in Malaysia and abroad. The TV channel propagandizes the positive image of Islam. " TV Alhijrah " is broadcasted in HD format throughout Malaysia. The audience of the channel is 2.5 million people, and online subscribers - 10 million people.

The program Assalamualaikum is the most popular morning talk show on the television channels of Malaysia. The audience of the program is an average of about 1 million people.

During the video, Malaysian audience got acquaintedwith the cultural, historical and architectural heritage of Uzbekistan, sights in such cities as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, Khorezm, etc. The video also presented information about heritage of the great scientists and thinkers of Uzbekistan, like Imam al-Bukhari, Imam al-Termizi, Imam al-Farghani, al-Maturidiy, Bahauddin Naqshbandi, who made an exceptional contribution to the formation and development of the Islamic religion.

As a result, on TV channel Alhijrah, the video clips broadcast by the embassy on the tourism potential of various regions of the republic were demonstrated, including. "Welcome to Bukhara", "Come to see Khorezm", etc., as well as the national cuisine of our country.

It should be mentioned that in January-June 2018, the number of Malaysian tourists visiting Uzbekistan increased by 37.7%. In this case, only in June the growth rate was 2.6 times.
