Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The hotel industry of Uzbekistan is one of the fastest and most successfully developing sectors of the economy, growing by 15-20% annually. Today we can confidently say that it resisted during the crisis, but has not yet fully recovered.

It was the crisis that laid bare the main problems of the hotel business, but it also helped to determine further ways of its development in Uzbekistan. Overcoming the crisis requires immediate timely solutions. One of them is cooperation with experts in the UAE hotel industry.

On 16 June 2020, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism, the Association of Hoteliers of Uzbekistan and the ATECA Holding (UAE). The document implies the implementation of joint initiatives and projects aimed at developing the hospitality and hotel industry in Uzbekistan, improving the quality of services and management standards.

Taking into account the many years of international experience of the chairman of the holding Michel Noblet and his team of ATECA experts, the parties identified important areas for trilateral cooperation: - introduction of modern technologies and integrated management systems for accommodation facilities; - improving the classification system and specifications of hotels in accordance with international standards, including at the planning stage of structures; - Promotion of investment opportunities of the hotel sector of Uzbekistan abroad, attraction of international hotel chains to the country; - Conducting special trainings and events to improve the skills of hotel industry specialists; - Introduction of innovative technological solutions that support digital transformation in this area.

Global digitalization has laid the foundation for a new Hospitality policy. Thanks to cooperation with UAE experts, the hotel industry in Uzbekistan will be able to reach a new level of digitalization. It should be noted that an important area of cooperation between the parties will be advisory assistance to the hotel industry and the volumes of Uzbekistan’s permission to adapt to the new realities of the tourism industry after the pandemic and new safety requirements for tourist accommodation, taking into account international best practices.
