Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 27 August, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan had a telephone conversation with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan.

During the conversation, current issues regarding the further strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership were discussed, as well as the expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conveyed warm greetings from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov of Turkmenistan to Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

The leaders noted the dynamic development of bilateral ties, including active political dialogue and intensive exchanges. They also highlighted the growth in mutual trade turnover and the strengthening of cooperation between leading enterprises in various sectors of the economy.

Additionally, regular joint cultural and humanitarian events are being held.

Special attention in the conversation was given to advancing joint projects in the transport and communication and energy sectors, reflecting mutual interest in strengthening the strategic partnership.
