Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 14 October, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.

President Mirziyoyev congratulated Berdymukhammedov once again on the successful organization of the International Forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker Mahtumkuli Fragi and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome extended in Ashgabat.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the implementation of agreements reached during a recent meeting and reviewed key issues for the further development of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, which are based on strategic partnership and multilateral cooperation.

Additionally, the leaders discussed plans for upcoming events.
