Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with President of Russia Vladimir Putin. According to the Kremlin press service, the initiative for the call came from the Uzbek side.

During the conversation, the leaders discussed key aspects of bilateral cooperation, which is actively developing in various fields. In addition, they reviewed current international and regional issues, including Russia’s chairmanship of BRICS.

According to the press service of the President of Uzbekistan, Mirziyoyev and Putin discussed the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan on 26-28 May 2024.

Special attention was given to coordinating measures to increase trade volumes, developing cooperative ties between leading enterprises and regions of the two countries, as well as implementing joint investment projects and humanitarian programs.

Both sides expressed their readiness to continue strengthening the allied and strategic relations between Russia and Uzbekistan and agreed to maintain further contact.
