Le Petit Futé publishes guide on Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The world-famous tourist guide Le Petit Futé published in Spain an edition dedicated to Uzbekistan.

The project on the issue of the guide was carried out by the Spanish publishing house Alhena Media in collaboration with the French publishing house Le Petit Futé with the assistance of our country's embassy in Madrid.

Le Petit Futé is a series of guidebooks in French, which was launched in 1976. Currently more than 400 books are published in the series. Travel guides are divided into several categories - by city, region, country, as well as topics.

More than 300 pages of the publication provide detailed information about our country, its history and great ancestors, culture, art, traditions, sports, as well as politics and economics, data on population, society, a description of Uzbek cuisine and national games. The guide also includes a phrase book, maps of regions and cities. It is noteworthy that all the information is accompanied by a large number of colorful illustrations.

In the guidebook a separate chapter is devoted to each region of the republic. The creators of the guide note that the richest history of a country that has more than one millennium, and which has repeatedly become the crossroads of civilizations in Central Asia, makes it unique.

“This land was part of many empires - Alexander the Great, Genghis Khan, Amir Temur, sharing their fate with them. The lands of the Turan Plain still remember how new cities were reborn, how whole empires flourished and changed. For many centuries, the Great Silk Road connected the West and the East with trade, cultural and spiritual ties,” the guide informs.

It is emphasized that Uzbekistan has managed to preserve its historical heritage, ancient traditions and customs. It is the magic of the rich past that fascinates the modern traveler, going to meet the discovery of the most mysterious myths and mysteries, the doors to which have been closed for many years.
