Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 31 January, the Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Uzbekistan Leonid Marinich.

Issues of current trade and economic cooperation, as well as organizational aspects of holding the II Interregional Uzbek-Belarusian Forum and other major events in Tashkent were discussed.

The Forum is expected to be attended by 150 regional representatives and heads of leading industrial enterprises in Belarus. The program will include visits to large production facilities in Uzbekistan, meetings with Uzbek partners and the conclusion of new, mutually beneficial agreements.

The potential of developed large joint projects proposed for mutual consideration and agreement during the Forum, as well as other organizational issues designed to enrich the event with practical content, were analyzed.

As a result of the meeting, specific agreements were reached on intensifying interaction within the framework of increasing the scale of bilateral trade and industrial cooperation between the two countries.
