Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 25 March, the Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, Laziz Kudratov, met with the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) office in Uzbekistan, Andi Aranitasi.

The key topic of discussion was the review of current joint projects as well as new initiatives aligned with the goals of the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy. Both parties expressed their willingness to deepen cooperation.

EBRD representatives were introduced to the initiative of working in regions with major entrepreneurs interested in scaling their businesses, including expanding into foreign markets. Andi Aranitasi highlighted the importance of direct meetings with businesses to identify investment opportunities and strengthen business ties.

The parties also discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the President of Uzbekistan. The minister emphasized the significance of the FIC platform in fostering dialogue between government bodies and international financial institutions. The EBRD expressed interest in actively participating in the meeting and providing suggestions for improving the investment climate.

At the end of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the strategic partnership and continuing their joint work.
