Large paintings to be shown in Tashkent Tourism Fair
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A mega painting “One thousand of angels and one painting” of the Uzbek painter Lekim Ibragimov will be demonstrated at the Twentieth Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road”, which will be held in October 2014.

The Twentieth Tashkent International Tourism Fair “Tourism on the Silk Road” will take place in Tashkent on 7-9 October 2014. The event attracts both tourism specialists and art lovers.

The painting of the Lekim Ibragimov is famous worldwide. The height of the painting is 8 meters and its length makes up 66 meters. Its area is 528 square meters. The weight of canvas and structure is 22 tonnes. There are 2.4 miles of steel cables in the structure. It requires four days to construct and installation of 1,000 parts of the mega-painting.

Idea of the painting was generated over ten years ago and it took three years to create it. The event was demonstrated at various events. Now, the exhibition will be shown in Tashkent.

The tourism fair is one of the most visited events of Uzbekistan. Last year, over 10,000 people visited it. This year, Turkey is the partner country of the fair.
