Land for agriculture is leased to the population for 30 years

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On additional measures to increase the income of the population by supporting the creation of dekhkan farms” was adopted.

In accordance with the resolution, in territories with good water supply, close to settlements, freed from cotton and grain, in use by farms and clusters, are leased to the population through an open electronic competition until the end of 2022 - an additional 20 thousand hectares, a total of 100 thousand hectares of sown area, in 2023 - 95,169 hectares of sown area.

At the same time, sown areas are leased to citizens for a period of 30 years, in particular:

- on lands with good water supply in Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions - from 0.15 hectares to 1 hectare, in other regions - from 0.30 hectares to 1 hectare, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - from 0.30 hectares to 2 hectares;

- on dry lands in the regions - from 0.50 hectare to 1 hectare, in the Republic of Karakalpakstan - from 0.50 hectare to 2 hectares;

- if one applicant participated in the competition for the transfer of sown areas to the population for running a dehkan farm in 2022–2023, such a competition, as an exception, is considered valid.

It is allowed to build greenhouses from lightweight structures without installing heating systems on land allocated for dekhkan farms in areas with a wide developed network of greenhouses.

When leasing land for dekhkan farming through a competition to citizens included in the Iron Notebook, Women's Notebook and Youth Notebook, they are not excluded from the above notebooks, all benefits and preferences are retained for one year .
