Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The CEO of the French football club Lens Pierre Dréossi, confirmed that central defender Abdukodir Khusanov will most likely leave the team.

Uzbekistan national team defender Abdukodir Khusanov has attracted the interest of several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City.

Khusanov has demonstrated excellent defensive qualities and has become a key player in coach Will Still’s system.

Agent Jorge Mendes, head of Gestifute, has been authorized to sell the 20-year-old player.

In an interview with DAZN before the Ligue 1 match against Toulouse, Dréossi expressed confidence that Khusanov would leave the club, although he did not specify whether his departure would occur during the winter transfer window or in the summer.

He added that Khusanov’s departure could help improve the club's financial position if good offers are made.

It is worth noting that Abdukodir Khusanov missed the match against Toulouse due to a suspension, and his team lost 1-0.
