Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Quotes of almost all securities fell at the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange “Tashkent” (UzSE)on Thursday, 20 November. Perhaps, global financial crises negatively affected opinion of security holders, Essential Investments said. As a result investors trying to sell securities they have and this is leading to price falls. When purchasing significant stock holdings at UzSE, in some instances investors paid ten times more than the market price.

The reporting day was an exception. Thus, acquiring 13.16% of Ipak Yuli Avtotrans (Ipak Yuli Autotransportation) purchaser paid 13.33% less than the price at last trading session on these securities. This was first acquisition of more than 1% of authorized capital of joint-stock company for the last few days.

Common stocks of Kashkadaryo parmlash ishlari had the biggest loss (-24.97%). The deal price exceeded face value of the stock by 6.7 times and made US$4.92. Only common stocks of Fargona nasilli parranda remained unchanged. 0.18% of authorized capital of this enterprise was acquired at the same price as previous day - US$7.35.

Taking into account that major stockholder of OJSC Kvartz is a foreign investor (British Villard Invest LLP owns 53%), the analysts of Essential Investments believe that sharp fall of this stock was caused by liquidity problem which is currently taking place in the world, including Great Britain. Perhaps, Villard Invest LLP made a decision to sell some stocks of OJSC Kvartz to raise funds. Due to this, stocks of the enterprise lost about 24.96% of their market value.

Both quotes and trade turnover was falling during the last few days. On 20 November, total turnover made US$7,700, including US$5,000, paid for 13.16% of Ipak Yuli Avtotrans.
