Uzbekistan 07/04/2009 Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan to sign protocol on water and energy use

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The experts and heads of water and energy agencies of Uzbekistan are expected to arrive in Bishkek until April 10 in order to draft and sign the protocol on use of water and energy during 2009 vegetation period between respective agencies of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

Such agreement was reached during meeting of heads of water and energy agencies from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan in Almaty.

The meeting in Almaty addressed the agenda for the upcoming Summit of Heads of Central Asian Countries-Parties to the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in late April in Almaty, AKIpress reported.
